Radio silence

All that comes out of my mouth

is static white noise

or maybe that’s just how it’s perceived

I’m sure I’m an alien

whose words have not been decoded yet

or maybe I’m not speaking with

sapient creatures

one or the other

or both is the truth

because how else should I cope

with wasting my youth
